Track Day with BTCC Star Jake Hill at Donington Park

Yesterday, the TTR Motorsport team had an unforgettable experience at Donington Park, supporting a track day in one of our custom-built C1 race cars. This event was particularly special as it was sponsored by CAT Driver Training and featured none other than British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) star Jake Hill!

Meet Jake Hill

Jake Hill is a well-known name in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). Making his debut in 2013, Jake has steadily climbed the ranks to become one of the top competitors. He currently races for Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport, driving a BMW 330e M Sport. Over the years, Jake has accumulated multiple wins and podiums, highlighting his skill and dedication on the track. In 2022, he secured 13 podium finishes and won the Goodyear Wingfoot Award for the best qualifying performance, rounding out his best-ever season in third overall

TTR Motorsport’s Role

Our TTR Motorsport team played a crucial role in preparing for this event. The C1 race car we brought to Donington Park was meticulously built and maintained by our skilled technicians. Our focus on high-quality setups and precision engineering ensures that every vehicle we work on delivers top performance.

Before hitting the track, Jake had an engaging conversation with Matt about the car build and the rigorous maintenance schedule we follow to keep the car in peak condition. Jake highlighted the importance of a well-set-up car in achieving top performance and was thoroughly impressed with our dedication and expertise.

A Day of Fun and Feedback

Jake also shared insights with Colin on how to get into racing, praising the C1 race series as a fantastic, family-friendly, and cost-effective option. His laps were nothing short of amazing, and he commended the TTR team for the car’s setup and even compared it to his own road C1!
